Breathe Easy Program
The Breathe Easy program consists of 8 weeks of supervised exercise and telehealth education sessions which are run in collaboration with the Centre for Lung Health based out of the Edmonton General, the Provost Primary Care Network and Edgy Fit Gym.
Twice weekly patients who are enrolled meet for supervised group exercise at Edgy Fit Gym and then attend an one hour telehealth session regarding Lung Health and education at the Provost Health Centre.
A physicians referral is required, once a referral is made arrangements for a lung assesment by a respiratory therapist are arranged as well as a telehealth appointment with a Pulmonologist; from these assessments determination whether the patient is able to enroll in the program is made and the patient is either enrolled in the upcoming session or referred back to their primary physician for follow up.
Following graduation from the program patients are encouraged to continue to attend the twice weekly exercise sessions.
